“For All Mankind” is a New York University Short Film, directed by the award-winning filmmaker Dan Clifton.
“For All Mankind” tells the story of Johnny Red, a disenfranchised young man who always dreamed of becoming a NASA scientist. Instead, after several academic mishaps, Johnny decides that successfully building a time machine is the only way to restore his credibility. Ridiculous, spectacular and heartwarming, Clifton intends to tell this simple tale with the special effects and bombastic aplomb most typically found in the usual summer blockbuster.
“For All Mankind” will be filmed in Philadelphia, PA and the surrounding areas (mainly Conoshohocken, PA) the week of Friday, October 10th – Sunday, October 19th. It is one of the largest student films to ever film in Pennsylvania involving celebrated actors, large amounts of professional equipment, and police and fire department involvement.
